MiniMind ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who uses our mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you play MiniMind or visit minimind.apidev.co.in.
By using MiniMind, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app and this website.
The short version: We collect the minimum data needed to run the service. We never sell your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data You Provide Directly
- Account information — when you create a registered account: display name, email address, and encrypted password. Social sign-in (Google, Apple, Facebook) substitutes an OAuth token for a password.
- Referral codes — if you enter or receive a referral code during registration, we store the code and its source (shared link or manual entry).
- Support communications — if you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence to resolve your issue.
2.2 Data Collected Automatically
- Gameplay data — levels played, wins, scores, time spent, hints used, and undo actions. This data is stored locally on your device first and optionally synced to our servers when you are signed in.
- Streak & mission progress — daily login streak, win streak, and mission completion status.
- Device identifiers — a randomly generated anonymous device ID. This is not tied to your name or email unless you create an account.
- App version & platform — which version of MiniMind you are running and whether you are on Android or iOS, used for crash triage and feature rollout.
- Session activity — approximate time of last active session, used to detect inactive accounts for cleanup.
2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect
- Precise GPS location or background location
- Contacts, camera, or microphone access
- Browsing history outside the MiniMind app
- Financial or payment information (there are no in-app purchases)
- Biometric data of any kind
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect solely to:
- Deliver the service — sync your progress across devices, maintain leaderboards, and restore your game state.
- Improve the app — aggregate, anonymized analytics help us understand which games are most popular, where players get stuck, and how to balance difficulty.
- Ensure security — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to accounts.
- Send notifications — if you opt in to push notifications, we send streak reminders and reward alerts. You can revoke notification permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Provide customer support — respond to your emails and resolve issues.
- Comply with legal obligations — where required by law.
We do not use your data for behavioral advertising profiling, do not sell it to data brokers, and do not train commercial AI models on it.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — companies that help us operate the service (e.g., cloud hosting, crash analytics). These providers are contractually bound to use data only for the purpose we specify and may not re-sell it.
- Firebase / Google — we use Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting), Firebase Analytics (aggregate usage), and Firebase Remote Config (feature flags). Data processed by Firebase is governed by Google's privacy policy.
- AdMob — if you watch optional reward ads, Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers to show relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of ad personalization in your device's privacy settings.
- Legal compliance — we may disclose data if required to do so by law, subpoena, or similar legal process.
- Business transfer — if MiniMind is acquired or merges, your data may be transferred to the new entity. We will notify you before such a transfer and offer the opportunity to delete your account.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your game progress is stored primarily on your device using local storage (Hive). When you create an account, progress is also stored on our servers hosted in a secured data center.
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Bcrypt password hashing — we never store plain-text passwords
- Database access restricted to authenticated application servers only
- Regular security reviews and dependency updates
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention: Account data is retained until you delete your account. Anonymous guest data is automatically purged after 90 days of inactivity. Crash logs and aggregated analytics are retained for up to 24 months.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated personal data. You can do this in-app via Settings → Account → Delete Account, by emailing us, or by visiting our Account Deletion page.
- Portability — request your game data in a machine-readable format.
- Restriction — ask us to limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Opt-out of analytics — you can disable Firebase Analytics in your device's privacy settings or by toggling analytics permissions in the app.

7. Children's Privacy
MiniMind is designed for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at support@minimind.apidev.co.in and we will delete that information promptly.
Guest mode (no account required) allows anyone to play all games without providing any personal information, making it suitable as a zero-data option for younger users.
8. Cookies & Tracking on This Website
