How to Play Fillomino: Rules, Strategy & Free Puzzles

Fillomino is a logic puzzle where you divide the grid into regions called polyominoes. Each region must contain a number of cells equal to the number written inside it, and no two regions of the same size may share an edge.

How to play Fillomino

  1. Match number to size. Every cell belongs to a region whose total cell count equals the number printed in it. A 4 sits in a region of exactly four cells.
  2. Same numbers connect. Cells of a region share its number, so equal numbers that touch belong to the same region.
  3. Separate equal regions. Two separate regions of the same size may never be orthogonally adjacent.
  4. Fill the whole grid. Every cell ends up assigned to exactly one region, including cells that started blank.
