How to Play Sokoban: Rules, Strategy & Free Levels
Sokoban is the classic warehouse puzzle. You steer a worker around a grid to push crates onto marked goal tiles. You can only push a crate — never pull it — and only when the space beyond is clear, so a careless shove into a corner can lose the level. It is solved when every crate rests on a goal.

How to play Sokoban
- Push, never pull. The worker can only push a crate forward, never drag it back.
- Need clear space. A crate moves only when the tile directly beyond it is empty.
- One crate at a time. You can never push two crates at once, or a crate into a wall.
- Fill every goal. The level is won when all crates sit on goal tiles.
Sokoban strategy & tips
- Never push a crate into a corner or flat against a wall unless a goal is there — it can become stuck forever.
- Plan the final resting order; a crate parked early can block the path to another goal.
- Work backwards from each goal to picture the pushes that place a crate onto it.

Pushing a crate into a corner or against a wall away from its goal — MiniMind lets you undo or restart when that happens.
